Astros Announce 2010 Spring Training Schedule

Grapefruit League season begins March 5; Ticket Prices Will Remain Same

 

HOUSTON, TX —  The Houston Astros unveiled their 2010 Spring Training schedule today. The club returns to Osceola County Stadium in Kissimmee, Florida for the 26th season, where they will play 14 of their 28 scheduled Spring Training games.

The Astros begin Grapefruit League play in Lakeland, Florida vs. the Detroit Tigers on Friday, March 5, the first of three Spring games vs. the Tigers. The home opener at Osceola County Stadium will be Saturday, March 6 vs. the Atlanta Braves, whom the Astros will face four times in the Spring.  Start times to all Spring games will be announced at a later date.

The home schedule includes games vs. the N.L. Central Division Champion St. Louis Cardinals (March 22) and the Pittsburgh Pirates (March 26). The Astros will also host the New York Yankees on Saturday, March 20 and the defending N.L. Champion Philadelphia Phillies on March 30. The home schedule also features games vs. the Washington Nationals (March 13, 17), Toronto Blue Jays (March 8, 19), Florida Marlins (March 10), New York Mets (March 21) and Tampa Bay Rays (March 27).

Individual game tickets for Astros Spring Training games in Florida go on sale Saturday, January 23rd at 10 a.m. (ET).  They can be purchased in several ways: online at www.astros.com; at the Osceola County Stadium box office (home games only) or by telephone and in person at Florida Ticketmaster outlets (home and road games). The box office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on all game days. Osceola County Stadium ticket prices, which  have not been raised, are $22 for Dugout Box Seats, $20 for Outfield Box Seats, $18 for Upper Reserved Seats and $15 for Outfield Reserved Seats. Please note that tickets to any of the three premium games (Cardinals, Yankees, Phillies) are $3.00 higher per ticket.

Season tickets may be purchased now by calling (321) 697-3201. Season ticket prices for all 14 games are $308 for Dugout Box Seats, $280 for Outfield Box Seats, $252 for Upper Reserved Seats and $210 for Outfield Reserved Seats. Fans also have the option of purchasing the “Bagwell Weekend Plan,” which includes tickets to all six Saturday and Sunday home games and is priced at $108. All season ticket plans include free parking.

The Astros will return home to Minute Maid Park to play a pair of exhibition games on April 2 and 3 (opponent TBA). The Astros open the 2010 regular season at home on Monday, April 5 at 6:05 p.m. against the San Francisco Giants.
